We left camp at 0800 hours and when we got to the
domestic terminal at Kathmandu Airport we didn’t have long to wait for our
flight that for once actually left on time.
We got into LUKLA at around 1015 hours and met up
with our trek guide ‘KAJI’, however, before we set off on our trek to PHAKDING
we stopped in LUKLA to have a brew and sort out are flight tickets for our
return journey and also for KAJI to pop home and get his bag for the next 13 days.

trek guide)
Finally we got underway about 1120 hours and with a
stop about an hour out of PHAKDING for a few potato and cheese momos Kaji was
up and off to get the to the lodge that we were staying at for the night.

Lodge & Restaurant
After we booked in Charlie and I went for a little
wander around then headed back to the lodge for a game of chess/ludo as we
brought along our little travel board game to while away the evenings.
Kaji went and said he would be back around 1800/1900
hours and when he showed up at about 1830 hours it turned out that he had that
he had gone all the way back home (an hour the other side of LUKLA) to change
from his walking boots to his trainers.
We turned in pretty early, well early for us as we
had to be up and off for about 0730 hours for our longish trek to NAMCHE.
