DAY 130 (Sunday 27 November 2011)

Bike riding day, 6 of us showed up to do it, me, Charlie, BK, Marion, COS (Lt Col Elton Davis) and KP.  The route was to go towards GODAVRI but when we got there instead of going right at the bottom of the hill we went left, over a little bridge and then the climb began, oh my what a climb.

There was one point of the hill that everyone had to get off to walk, yes even BK had to walk, because the mud was that smooth that you just couldn’t get a good grip from your tyres.

However, the views going up the hill were spectacular, the weather was that clear that you could see part of the mountain range in the distance and it just looked like they were floating.

We were out on the ride for nearly 4½ hours, admittedly that did include a tea stop however, it wasn’t at our usual tea house as it had changed into a shop, so we had to find another tea house, which I think we all needed once we got there.

The one thing about going out on these bike rides that I am enjoying is the fact that I am getting my confidence up when going downhill on the off road tracks, I don’t ride the breaks as often and with that, it’s so much more fun, the adrenaline just pumps through your body.
