DAY 31 (Saturday 20 August 2011)

I cannot believe that I have been here a month already, where has the time gone?????

Today, what have we done so far, please bear in mind that it is now 0945hrs (0500hrs your time) and we have already been out for a bike ride, somewhat shorter than we expected as I was having a problem with my bike, so instead of seeing if I could make it to the destination we had in mind, we turned around a came home, I managed to bike most of the way home, but the clunking of the pedals (apparently the grease may have frozen and then degraded on the flight over) was really annoying so we got off and walked the rest of the way home.

So far that is all we have done today, probably won’t do much more than just go out and get some shopping in for tea tonight.

Well as I suspected, we went out for some shopping for tea which was a plate of bangers, mash and beans and it was absolutely scrummy.  When we got home, I decided that I should write a couple of letters to my friends as I now have their addresses and it was a good way to relax after our long hot walk to the shops.

The rest of the afternoon was chilling in the front room watching a bit of NCIS.

Tomorrow, let’s see what tomorrow brings, I hope to do a bit of baking, all being well that I can get some eggs, they don’t sell them in the local shops, you have to either get them from people on the street or from people that have what we call ‘Hole in the Wall’ little shops that actually have no proper meaning to them, all it is is a brick shed and that is it with a few bits a pieces in, mainly fruit and veg, ah yes the veg, something I have not tried is there local veg, purely because I am unsure what things are as they look so different to some of the stuff that we get in the UK.

Well hubby has gone to bed to read, so no doubt, by the time I finish this and go up he will probably be long asleep.  Oh nearly forget, haven’t mentioned it in any previous days, but Charlie has decided that the volunteering at the school thing was not for him.  At least now I know my tea will definitely be ready for when I get home at night.

Nighty Night all.
